Serena Elvira McAdams is the beginning of the McAdams line. She was born on February 7, 1840 and she died June 15, 1916 in Walker County, Alabama.

She married William Butler Durham. Her parents were Thomas McAdams and Margaret Martin.

Serena and her husband lived and died in Walker County, Alabama. It is family tradition that the McAdams family was from Ireland.
