The Last Will of Causmay Parsons
In the name of God, Amen, the seventeen day of November in the year of our Lord God,
1733. I Causmay Parsons of St. Mary’s County plantor being very sick and weak but of
Perfect mind and memory thanks be to God therefore. Item I give and bequeath to my
well beloved son John Parsons my now Dwelling plantation, and all the Lands there unto
belonging and all the Lands adjoining to it and also my part of hand mill stones. Item I
give and bequeth unto my Daughter Mary Mahoney one negro girl named Jude, that she
hast now in her possession. Item I give and bequeath unto my loving son James Parsons
one part of my moveable Estate- Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Anne
Parsons one part of my moveable Estate. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Joseph
Parsons one part of my moveable Estate. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Edward
Parsons one part of my moveable Estate. Item I give and bequeath unto my son Clement
Parsons one part of my moveable Estate, so..that my personal estate may be equally
divided amongst my children James, Anne, Joseph, Edward, Clement being these five Last
nominated, saveing the hand mill stones and my will and desire is that my small children
shall possess there legacies given by me at Eighteen years of age- Item I give and bequeath
unto Grace Clarks one fatt Hogg and I also Constitute and appoint my Loving sons John
Parsons and James Parsons, my sole executors of this my Last will and Testament
revoking all Junior wills, made by me and acknowledging this to be my last will and
Testament as witness my hand and seal the day and year above written

Then came John Brady and Joseph Patshall two of the subscribing witnesses to the
foregoing will and made oath on the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God that they saw the
Testator Cosmos Parsons, sign and seal, and heard him publish and declare the same as his
last will and Testament, and that at the time of his so doing, he was to the best of there
knowledge and apprehension of sound and disposing mind, and memory, and that they the
aforesaid John Brady and Joseph Patshall as witnesses did subscribe the aforesaid will in
the presence of the said testator, and they saw John Seager sign at the same time and in
the presence of the said Testator-- sworn before me
