Engineering

I am a Quality Engineer at Aspen Technology in Cambridge, MA. You could say I break things for a living. Aspen Technology is the world leader in process engineering software. Right now we've just released Aspen Engineering Suite version 11.0 and the 10.2 Service Pack and Update 1 CD, and have started work on version 11.1, which is due out in September 2001.

Before this, I worked as an associate engineer at Parsons Engineering Science in Canton, MA. My work included Title V air permitting, air emissions inventorying and regulatory analysis, some hazardous waste, and Pharmaceutical MACT/Effluent Guidelines compliance.

I am a Course 1E M.Eng. alumna from MIT. For those of you who are confused by this designation, Course 1E means environmental engineering. (As an undergraduate here, I was a chemical engineering major, which just goes to show it's NEVER too late to change your major.) My Master's thesis was entitled "Biodegradation of Chlorinated Solvents in the Sediment of Ashumet Pond, Cape Cod, MA." I would love to make it available over the 'Net, but at >6MB zipped (putting me over my quota), this may not be feasible. Besides, it's not exactly captivating reading.

Thank you very much, and please come again!
