Residents of the Center benefit greatly from the services offered by community members who come to the center
to volunteer. The residents not only learn basic life skills from these volunteers, such as reading, how to use
a computer or search for a job, but they also learn that there are caring people willing to take the time to help
out during this stressful period in their lives.
Such personal support and mentoring gives residents hope and provides them with the encouragement to work towards
rebuilding their lives and becoming more self-sufficient.
