My research interests are in the field of wildlife conservation, with an emphasis on threatened species conservation and recovery. Since 1999 I have been working on the critically endangered black-footed ferret. Once extinct in the wild, the future of this species is still unclear. My research focuses on investigating reintroduction strategies and how ferrets behave in the wild in the hope that we will be able to shed light on what is limiting their recovery. I also work with collaborators in the Philippines on issues related to the conservation and ecology of the Philippine Tarsier. On the island of Bohol in the Philippines, we are developing a long-term monitoring program for this little understood species. Please select a link to the right for more information. |
