Ficus benjamina Also known as weeping fig, ficus benjamina is a great plant to have. It requires very little attention, other than a decent sunny spot and infrequent watering. It likes to be fairly potbound, so it doesn't need constant repotting. The main problem with the care of weeping fig is that of overwatering. Water only once every week or two to keep it in fine shape. Occasionally, due to some stress, this plant will lose all its leaves. While a sad sight, do not throw it away. Most types of ficus will snap right back and regrow leaves fairly soon. Care rating: |
