Philodendron scandens
Like many other plants listed here, philodendrons make good houseplants. They are fairly low maintenance and look like a plant should look. They tend to do best either in hanging pots or with some system that allows them to twine around moist moss. Obviously, these are vining plants. Their heart-shaped leaves are usually dark green. Although they tend to resemble devil's ivy, they are quite different. Devil's ivy is usually variegated and grows very fast. Philodendron grow very slowly. They do not require a lot of sunlight and make good plants for slightly dark areas.
