ANIMAL FACTS
Mammals
- Zebra's striper are as unique as fingerprints. No zebra has the same stripe pattern.
- Polar bears swim normally 50-miles in the freezing waters of the North Pole. The are excellent swimmers. The fartherest a bear has ever been was more then 90 miles from shore.
- Walrus's tusks are for self defense and to open shellfish.
- Bighorn sheep, male, has horns that weigh over 30 lbs., which is equal to it's entire skeletal system.
- Sea otters have the thickest coat of far on the planet. They have 650,00 hairs per square inch.
Birds
- Eagles like to surprise their quarry on the ground, swooping in and decapitating the victims.
- Macaws have a large and hook-shaped beak, that can open any nut with a simple snap. It it gets angry, it will also nip at anything that comes close, to it.
Reptiles
- Green-hornder lizard protections himself by inflating its body with air. If that doesn't work it it will spurts blood from its eyes.
- Tarantulas, with their hairy and large size bodies, are relatively harmless. They can bite you but their venom will have little or no effect.
- Baby Nile crocodiles relationship with its mother is for 2 years after those years the young must fend for themselves
