TROOP 30 OUTINGS Troop 30 believes that the true meaning of Scouting is in the use of our "open air" activities. We plan each month to experience the great outdoors. Scouting is what the founder, Lord Baden-Powell referred to as "the brotherhood of the open air". It is in the respectful use of our environment that we can best teach and explore the skills and values to which we aspire. Troop 30 believes in a balanced program. We attend a variety of events and activities and claim no specialization. We are not just a backpacking Troop but we do back pack, we are not just a tailgate camping Troop but we do tailgate camp. We try to provide a varied level of programming to meet the needs and abilities of the boys in both our Senior Scout Group and our Boy Scout Group. Each year we provide a new and exciting Summer Camp program (see our Summer Camp page) in which we spend at least a week in a new and varied setting. Below are some of the Scouting activities from this past year.Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge Campout March 2001 Dead Horse Camporee April 2001 Fall Camporee 2000
