Da go Te'....An Apache Hello
You have landed at PurpleHawk's Nest. Here's
a branch for you to perch & take a little rest.
Kick off your moccasins and wiggle your toes
You are welcome here with love and respect.
You may be troubled in Mind, Body, or Spirit.
Stay....stay and learn the Dance of Life.
Learning to live a life that maintains balance and
harmony within ourselves, with others and with the
environment is the the lesson.
Life provides the tests. Our lives, as in nature, move
in a circle and is often related to planting, and harvest.
Nature teaches that life moves in circles. Our lives also
move in a circle and the way we live becomes our dance.
In the Dance of Life, our thoughts and actions are the
seeds we plant and will one day harvest!

Honor the sacred.
Honor the Earth....our Mother
Honor the elders.
Honor all with whom we share the Earth:
Four-leggeds, two-leggeds, winged ones,
Swimmers, crawlers, plant and rock people.
Walk in balance and beauty. |
"We Know We Are Out Of Step When"

We cannot walk a straight line.
We've stepped on our brother's foot.
We forget to be thankful.
We feel alone.
We think our dance in the only dance there is.
We forget to keep on dancing ;D |
My pages will hopefully educate us all to the unfair struggles, past and present, that the American Indian endure.
First, stop by and meet Medicine Deer. She is why this site got started.
Go back to a time when the Apache lived in peace and harmony with Mother Earth.
Learn of the Apache, their lives, culture, history, war, warriors, and see the picture gallery.
You will also want to meet the great warriors, Cochise, Mangas Coloradas, Geronimo and Naiche.
Take your smile, with no disrespect, to the Apache Folklore and American Indian legends.
Take a look at the American Indian "Ten Commandments" and Prayers.
Prayers of "Pagans"....hum, they are a lot like mine!
Visit Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha, the Mohawk Indian maiden to be canonized a Saint, and Sacagawea, who graces our dollar coin.
Jump on Big Fella for the ride of your life ;D

I wish to thank two people who are extremely special to me and those of you who know them. Each an exceptional artist in their own right. Sam and Rain Silverhawk. Sam for his unsurpassed graphics. (He also does the best War Dance!!), and Rain for her help with HTML, problem solving, and just about anything else she can help with. They are my friends, I am blessed.
