Gathering 4- Denver Convention Report

Highlander Addiction

Before you read any further, I would like to make this statement. Working at G4 was an unforgettable experience and one I recommend if you ever have the chance.

Before the con started, all the staff were required to sign a confidentiality statement, agreeing not to share (personal) information on the guests or anything that was not seen by the public. After being alerted by PEACE-APFC about my con reports (and the PEACE personnel notified the G4 director that they were upset by the reports), the G4 director determined that I broke the confidentiality agreement and as such can no longer work Gathering conventions. I am confident that I did not break the confidentiality statement, so I am disappointed with the director's decision but hold no hard feelings toward her.

I wrote this to let you know that working on staff at the Gathering is a wonderful opportunity, and if the opportunity arises for you to do so- take it!! To avoid a situation such as I found myself in, however, I would recommend that you write no reports about the con.

Now, please read my reports and enjoy them. :-)

I went to the Gathering IV, held in Denver, Colorado during the weekend of October 16-18. It was FANTASTIC!! I worked the con and had as much fun as when I went to the Anaheim con "The Celebration". (Well actually, I had MORE fun since I didn't get sick this time! *g*) Since many were depending on all kinds of wonderful stories from me, I hated to disappoint them. Soooo, there are 2 reports of the con for you to choose from. I hope you enjoy them!
