Depth & spacing: 4-5cm deep & apart.
Aspect: Light shade. These bulbs like a cool spot in the garden and will naturalise under trees.
Soil: Well draining and rich.
Watering: Start watering when growth appears and keep soil slightly moist until foliage dies off after flowering. It is ideal to keep bulbs relatively dry whilst dormant.
Fertilising: Top dress in Autumn. These bulbs are light feeders and if the soil is rich they may not require feeding every year.
Flowering time: Late Winter to early Spring.
After flowering care: Leave these bulbs in the ground where they will naturalise.
Tolerances: These bulbs only perform well in cool climates such as Victoria and Tasmania.
Comments: Watch for snails! They love to nibble on the foliage & flowers of this bulb.
