Nemesias
Family: Scrophulariaceae
Plant type: Herbaceous perennial.
Bloom period: Spring, Summer and Autumn (a very long flowering perennial)
Size (H x W): 30cm x 30cm
Planting time:Any time of the year.
Preferred aspect: Full sun to part shade.
Preferred Climate: Cool to temperate.
Soil: Performs best in a really rich, loamy soil but generally not fussy
if soil is well drained.
Planting depth and spacing: Plant to the same depth as in the pot and 30
apart. Plant closer (15-20cm) for a neat border.
Watering: Water well during hot, dry spells.
Frost: Tolerante of light frosts.
Fertilising details: Enrich the soil with lots of organic matter or use
a general fertiliser.
Pruning: Cut back to a 15-20cm mound in late Autumn or Winter to keep the
plants dense, compact and prolific.
Comments: This plant is excellent to interplant with bulbs and for under
planting standards because it flowers for such a long time and is undemanding
