Everything you never wanted to know.

The images above are my husband and me, my three sons and two grandchildren. I included the Cub Scout picture because that night I proudly presented the World Conservation Award to the members of my Webelos den. Are we nature lovers or what?

My two younger sons are still in high school. The oldest is 32 and the father of my two grandchildren. I also have 3 older stepchildren and two more grandchildren.

We live in a rural area in southern Michigan. We share the ownership of a farm and a large wooded area with my husband's siblings. I've lived in Michigan for most of my adult life, but originally I'm from a small town near Denver, Colorado.

I am a musician (retired piano teacher) and a very amateur artist. In 1997, I took a voluntary retirement from an office job. Then we got a new computer and the Internet and I became totally "hooked". I just can't resist designing Web sites. Nor can I resist AfriCam!

Why AfriCam? Like the other enthusiasts who regularly visit the site, I am an animal lover. I'm intrigued by their habits, their personality and intelligence. I'm a curious person and I enjoy learning about new animals and the little bits of trivia that I gather along the way. And then there is the AfriCam "Boma", the message board that has become a gathering place for animal lovers around the world. If the Boma is down, the African bush suddenly becomes a very lonely place.

I hope you enjoy your journey through my Web site, and perhaps learn a little bit along the way!

See you on the Boma!
