Topography
Gugo generally composed of uplands and hills. It is constituted by three Puroks or villages, the Hacienda on the upper part, the Gugo Proper on the central part and the Adamson Village on the lower part. The land from Adamson is fairly flat and gently rises toward Proper, and there on steep up to Baranggay Palili.
Evidently with its name, hacienda was a private land up to the early 1990's. Formerly a ranchland owned by a wealthy family from Baranggay Calaguiman, it was acquired by government banks and later on distributed and loaned it to its tenants.
Being the center of the baranggay, it has most of the main baranggay facilities (elementary school, barrio hall, most churches and grocery stores.
Originally a land reserved for employees of the Bataan Pulp and Paper Mill Inc. (BPPMI), its residents were housed near each other unlike in Hacienda and Proper. This village also had its electricity and water supplied steadily by BPPMI, for free. This village's name was taken from the first president of the company.
