77 Baptismal Candidates

New Believers ready for baptism

On February 18, 2001, the Javanese Church of Tama- redjo, Gemeente Dian, held a baptism service in which 77 believers from various member churches were baptized. Pastor Antoon Sisal (below) presided over the joyous event, urging all present to praise God (Ps 95.3). But in his message, he emphasized the serious responsibility of declaring oneself a believer in Jesus Christ. Only believers above 18 years of age were elibible to be baptized.
