A Businessman's Lament

These union workers have it made
     bloody whingers
they’re ruining the country
when did they ever have it hard?

Have they ever flown a desk,
or sat on a company board?

They got it easy
wife and three kids and a dog...
its easy as paying off your mortgage

I mean, its taken me years
to be able to afford a Ferrari,
picking a suit is damned hard yakka too
gee, I could show them a thing or two

I’d love to be able to be sacked,
to be made redundant, on the dole
but no, I’ve got such responsibility
someone’s got to have a job and money

Oh, I can remember -
my daughter’s twenty-first
a six-course dinner and string quartet
we had to eat milk-fed veal
and bloody Beluga caviar
it was all so damn hard

If only I could drink VB,
eat meat and three veg every night
things would be oh so easy
life would be bright and breezy

no, these workers are lazy gits
they’re demands are bloody stupid
they’re moaning gives me the shits
we need to have lower wages
or how will we ever subsist?
