The German Nuclear Problem

you would think they’d get
the message   but no

not here, not anywhere
suns belong out there
not in backyards

covered in concrete shrouds
thick as a load of hurled bricks
Lines are cut,
roads are blocked and fervour
is unfaded by Time's reassurance

experts are no insurance

the multitudes remain
unconvinced
their tempers fray
Geiger rattling hot reactions -
they know nuclear chains enslave

the knights of the nuclear state
protect the half-living
just you wait, the concern will decay
and like the payload
the problem will go away

you can wait around
for about twenty thousand years?

no problem.

it's not a problem!?
