Kitty Kat Went Splat

Kitty Kat sat
   on the side of the road
Kitty Kat stepped out
   such a silly cat!

Kitty Kat walked
   splat!
someone cried
   Kitty Kat died

no more meowing
no more purring
no more stalking shadows
no more clawing chairs

just a shattered spine
and tiny lifeless eyes
