Welfare Schools for Needy Children

In the year 1977, His Majesties the King graciously forwarded the idea that welfare schools of primary and secondary levels of education be established in the vicinity of temples with the monks helping to educate students in the Principles of Drarma, as well as in other subjects not contrary to the teaching of Buddhist Monastic Laws, as had been the tradition before the turn of the century.
The first of four schools in various regions of the country was opened at Sri Chan Pradit Temple in Muang Samut Prakan District, Samut Prakan Province, in the year 1969.
