Dear Friends, on Sunday we had a lovely sail across Lake Pontchatrain in
68'weather with all day sunshine while we moved Libelle from her summer home
@ Beau Chene to the yard on the Bayou Liberty near Slidell. All our
maintainance projects on engine, steering gear and sails proved functional
in the light air.As we tied up to the pilings, we heard and saw a flock of
great egrets coming to roost for the night in the huge old trees on the
other side of the bayou under the red ball of the setting sun. we were
serenaded by the geese, ducks and frogs near Libelle. We are scheduled for
haulout and bottompaint tomorrow and hope the weather holds. The way things
are working out we plan to move directly from here to Biloxi Miss. We are
hoping to stop in Pensacola and in Sarasota on our way to the Keys. Of
course these plans are contingent on weather. Still looking forward to the
Bahamas in mid Jan. Thanks for the nice messages Ken, Stan, John, Carol and
others. Alles Gouda till next week. Jim and Rosi.
