Got the following message through Ken Guidry on Argenta who has been able to
maintain daily contact with Jim and Rosi in the Bahamas through the single
side band radio:
Dear Friends
That's not Florida, we're in the Abacos, Bahamas enjoying the tourist
scenery. The strain of natural forces: tide and wind control us making our
plans. Fortunately, we have no big waves or tides here in the Little
Bahamas Bank. As we were rushed on our last message, we seem to have
forgotten to say a few thank yous. Danke Brunee fuer die Sorgen und Anrufe
von Frankreich. Thanks to John Wacker for all the newsy family letters.
Life is good on board Libelle. Uns geht es gut. We send warm sunny wishes
for all for the New Year from the Bahamas.
Alles Gouda,
Jim and Rosi
Ken also mentioned that they have been having a great time beachcoming and
greatly enjoy the water, crystal clear water. They have been eating a lot
of fresh conch, and have been trying to hunt their own, but no success so
far. They are starting to make friends and dined on a donated mackerel for
dinner last night. Sounds great!
