To: cramcha@unix1.sncc.lsu.edu, woody.nero@nrlssc.navy.mil, matta@madsewer.org, char7@imaxx.net, Michael.Ernst@uni-konstanz.de, Tao_sc31@hotmail.com, dkerkhof@chorus.net, lonna_temple@pleasantco.com, nonlinear@mindspring.com, danno@chorus.net, stan_smith@flad.com, mxwbr@aol.com, WHoldik@t-online.de, LongeneR@ummhc.org, jcwacker@facstaff.wisc.edu, hello friends, yesterday we entered a differnt timezone. we sailed 90 nm from saxon harbour wis. to the keweenaw waterway mich. a brisk following sw wind , minimal waves hugging the coast under cloudy skyes with occasional light rain sqalls. these conditions allowed us to pass right by ontonagon and into lilly pond for paddy's alltime record single daylight distance. since our last message we had a delightful weekend in the apostle islands-jim on PREFERRED superior chartres with the bonders and rosi on DORIS E with dave and pat, who drove her back to madison. she had a wonderful stay at bill and marilyn's where she enjoyed a party with ted and trel and dave and pat. she later got to play with payden, saylor and vonnie. matthias helped run errands and once again assisted in foodshopping. meanwhile jim was boatsitting and singlehanding between port superior, madilyn island and saxon harbour. marcus char and brit drove rosi there in the motorhome. we all enjoyed hiking in the local waterfalls, skipping rocks and swimming at the red beach below the hi clay cliffs. we celebrated the 4th with alan and jodell (former ashland dock neighbours on the storbro-WINDFALL) in bessemer mich. today we are relaxing at THE LIBRARY brewpub near mich. tech. uni. where PH rocks at the city docks in front of the windows. thank you for all your recent messages. alles gouda jim and rosi. ________ 1
