hello friends, yesterday we entered a differnt timezone. we sailed 90 nm
from saxon harbour wis. to the keweenaw waterway mich. a brisk following
sw wind , minimal waves hugging the coast under cloudy skyes with occasional
light rain sqalls. these conditions allowed us to pass right by ontonagon
and into lilly pond for paddy's alltime record single daylight distance.
since our last message we had a delightful weekend in the apostle
islands-jim on PREFERRED superior chartres with the bonders and rosi on
DORIS E with dave and pat, who drove her back to madison. she had a
wonderful stay at bill and marilyn's where she enjoyed a party with ted and
trel and dave and pat. she later got to play with payden, saylor and vonnie.
matthias helped run errands and once again assisted in foodshopping.
meanwhile jim was boatsitting and singlehanding between port superior,
madilyn island and saxon harbour. marcus char and brit drove rosi there in
the motorhome. we all enjoyed hiking in the local waterfalls, skipping rocks
and swimming at the red beach below the hi clay cliffs. we celebrated the
4th with alan and jodell (former ashland dock neighbours on the
storbro-WINDFALL) in bessemer mich. today we are relaxing at THE LIBRARY
brewpub near mich. tech. uni. where PH rocks at the city docks in front of
the windows. thank you for all your recent messages. alles gouda jim and
rosi.
