liebe leute. now on manitoulin island-largest island in fresh water in the world, which forms the
north channel of lake huron. we are now using the library in the tiny village of gore bay, where PH is
anchored just bejond the municipal docks. this area caters to the many boaters who cruise here from
all around the great lakes. we visited with a couple from Manhattan KS who trailored their 27' O-day
to De Tour Passage and are now revisiting the north channel after 6 years. lots of small islands
beautiful bays rich in wildlife. we have seen deer cormorants, loons. mergansers, canada geese, minks,
and river otters. we were warned to watch out for bears on the next islands north of here. still planning
to get to little currant where the marina will hold mail for us. address in last message. we exspect to
be in the wilderness for 1-2 weeks and wish you well in the meantime. inzwischen alles gute from jim
and rosi.
