hello friends, as we were doing final outfitting and provisioning on
Paddy's Hurricane (C&C29) in cornucopia wisc. with record heat and covered
with friendly "government" flies, we could not imagined how delightful the
fresh breezes on our stern in the open lake would feel. we arrived here for
a fun rendevous with CHIP AHOY , scott and cindy of houghton and the
biggest fireworks display in the UP, although jim slept through most of it.
earlier in june it was a great pleasure to visit with yvonne and charles as
they interviewed in la crosse for a job on the mississippi river. we all
stayed at matt and nola's house - thanks for the hospitality payden and
saylor. sorry we missed your call brunni but nola was impressed with your
english ability on the phone. we expect to be waiting here for weather
through next wednesday. ligretto time at anchor. destination still pukaswa
canada in the north east corner of lake superior- route to be determined
by the wind. we may not get to computers as often this summer as we will be
cruising in wilderness areas. but we sure appreciated your recent replies
- VAMP, iren, jerry, matt, and john robinson, as always, ALLES GOUDA from
jim and rosi. PS hope DORIS E had a good race.
