Hi All,

There have been some changes in the Libelle crew. Peter will not be further accompanying Libelle on the trip. This means that we will not be provided with daily position updates via ham radio for the next leg to France. I think that Rosi and Jim will try to communicate using the marine band radio when possible, so hopefully we will hear something about their conditions while at sea.

Wolfgang Holdik should be arriving in Horta today to join the crew. I believe that Wolfgang was Jim's exchange partner when Jim lived abroad many moons ago. Once Wolfgang arrives, the crew will get together to discuss timing and a weather window for the next departure to France. Once a date has been set, I will, of course let you know.

I have passed along all of the congratulations and good wishes (and birthday wishes for Jim!) that I received for the intrepid crew, so I now know who most of you are. I assume, therefore, that most of you will want to remain on the distribution list, but if you would prefer not to continue receiving updates for any reason, please contact me. I will *keep* everyone on the list unless you send me an email indicating otherwise.

I don't have much other news right now, but Rosi faxed me a copy of the journal she has been keeping about the voyage. I will (hopefully) get a chance this weekend to write an email with some of the highlights.
