Greetings!

I just got an email from my cousin, Michael Ernst in Konstanz, Germany. He got a call from the crew yesterday. Rosi and Jim met up with my aunt and uncle (Brunehilde und Erich) in Carcasonne some time between Sunday and Monday. Paul and Janet are off on a train galavanting around Europe somewhere.

When the Libelloids called, they were just south of Carcasonne still following the canal heading toward the Mediterranean. They said that there are fewer locks in this section and that travel should go more quickly because of that. I imagine that they will have to remain around the coast for a few days to get the mast back up and make any other neccessary repairs. From then on I believe the plan is still to move south down the coast and then over to Mallorca.

In the "For What It's Worth Department": I put together a web page with a map of the canals in France and (most) of the old emails. It's not nearly as nice or detailed as Hannes' site, but at least it's something. Unfortunately, you have to put up with some advertising from the site sponsor. The URL is: http://geocities.datacellar.net/RainForest/Vines/2328/libelle.html

Alles Gouda,
