Today's information from Bud Morin in Madison (K9ENC):
I had bad contact with Pete this morning but San (WB9ELB) was able to
copy the
latitude. This afternoon I had about ten minutes of very poor contact
with
him on CW (morse code) but managed to get a longitude. So here is what
we have and we're
not sure if it's right:
Latitude: 37 deg 47 min N
[Just in case anyone is interested, we got our proposal in early - we
had 4 minutes to spare!!
Wally (W9RFW) is due to return on Sunday, but I'm not sure when he'll be
able to get back on the air.
On a personal note, I looked at Hannes' web page this morning and began
to get very morose about the tiny sailboat in the middle of the ocean.
I mentioned this to my office neighbor who is/was an avid sailor. He
was very quick to reassure me that actually he found it to be quite
lovely out there. The real shocker is when you get back to land and
suddenly there are all these *people* everywhere!]
Until tomorrow!
Alles Gouda,
Yvonne
