Hi All,
I just got this message from Trudi Smyth:
Position today:
38.38 north, 30.38 west, (interesting numbers!)
wind south 10 knots, Eta tomorrow about midday
All very well on board.
As Libelle is due to arrive in Horta around the time that Trudi is on
the net, this will probably be her last contact until Libelle leaves the
Azores again. Our last position report will probably come tonight
(0300Z).
When the boat arrives in Horta, we will continue to keep you updated
about developments. Rosi and Jim had indicated that they will probably
have access to a computer there, so they may send out a few updates of
their own. We look forward to hearing from them.
As we're heading into the final stretch of the first leg, I'd like to
give a *very hearty thanks* to all of the faithful ham operators who
have helped us along the way! (Insert applause here!!) Don't go away
just yet, however! After their lay-over in Horta, the next scheduled
destination will be France: Royan and Bordeaux. This section of the
trip will take them through the Bay of Biscay which is noted for it's
terrible weather.
Alles Gouda,
Yvonne
