Hi Folks!
Yvonne is away at a conference
until Monday, so I'm shuttling
the messages. Here is the web page URL that she forgot to send
last
time. The latest message from Wally and Mary is attached to
this one.
Rosi is a grandmother again!!
Peyton Rake Allen was born
this morning around 8:00. He weighs about 7 pounds (2.2 kg)
and is
in good health. Nola is doing very well too. Matt sounds
very
tired.
Right now, I'm the only one here
who knows. Yvonne hasn't yet
heard. Mattias is trying to contact Rosi herself through a HAM
radio
operator. If he doesn't get through by Tuesday, we'll ask Wally
and Mary to relay the message to her.

Communication was not too good this morning, but the following is
the
information received:
Distance to Horta 1782 nautical miles
Latitude 34 degrees, 45.8 min north
Longitude 66 degrees, 28.28 min west
We are riding out heavy wind from the east with storm jib and tiny
main
sail.
(strong breeze 46) Expected to continue until Tuesday.
This is slowing
our progress to Horta. Bermuda is 171 nautical miles from us.
