Greetings!

I got a brief call from Jim and Rosi! They are in Malta and plan to be there for about the next week. The crossing from Mallorca went fine - winds were good at first, but as they got closer to Malta, they had to motor sail for at least half the day (12 hours). Right now they are in a marina at Valletta. There were forts on either side as they came into the harbor. They went right to customs and got a slip so they have water and electricity. They are pretty tired from the 6 day crossing and so they are just going to relax at the marina for a little while. They may move out to an anchorage later if the slip fees are too much. They said that it is cooking hot there. I haven't found a weather forecast for Malta yet, but the Palermo (Sicily) forecast calls for temperatures in the low 90s (32-34 calcius). That sounds about the same as it is here - except...maybe we don't have the crystal blue waters.... But we do have good food! Oh well.

Jim said they would try to find an internet connection some where. I found an extensive Malta site that you can visit and check out the scenery: http://www.maltagozo.com/pictures.html. The main page has all sorts of miscellaneous Malta info. Enjoy! Until next time,

Alles Gouda,
