Hi Y'All,
I got an email from the Libelliods this morning.
Tomorrow, Baerbel and Gerhardt will be joining
them on the boat for the crossing to southern
Spain (Malaga). They plan to leave Milazzo
(Sicily) as soon as weather permits after Baerbel
and Gerhardt arrive. They will sail along the
north coast of Sicily through the Thyrennian Med
to the south coast of Spain. After Spain, they
will proceed on through to Gilbralter and further
to the Canary Islands. I believe they are
planning an extended stay on the Canaries and will
make the Atlantic crossing some time in early
January. Can you believe they haven't been gone 4
months yet? Time really flies.
They sound fine and happy (as far as I can tell
from the email anyway). I hope to hear from them
by phone before they leave Sicily, but who knows.
Miscellanea:
Hope the people in on the coast (Mariner's Cay,
Mike&Ruth, John&Marcia and Gernot) made it through
the hurricane without too much damage. We were
thinking about you.
Alles Gouda,
Yvonne
For Barb Constanz: Jim and Rosi expect to hear
from you very soon if you would still like to meet
them in Spain or Gibralter for the leg to the
Canaries.
They got the email messages from John and Rita and
from Helen.
