Greetings,

Looks like Rosi and Jim were able to reach Christoph on the marine band again. He sent me an email with position information:

37 degrees 45 min N and 0 degrees 02 minutes W; Wind W 1-4 knots. The Engine is on. All is OK on board, the Crew is well.

They aren't traveling as fast as I thought they would. I looked at the map and the distance from Sicily to Malaga is actually longer (by degees longitude) than from the Azores to Royan. I guess it doesn't help much that they have no wind. The position given above puts them near the Spanish east coast near Cartegena. I'll try to get an updated map on the website ASAP.

I don't know what is happening at Malaga and who will be on board from Spain to the Canaries, but my brother, Matt and his wife Nola are making plans to meet them in the Canaries. I don't know who will be making the crossing with them. I suggested it to Matt, but he's very reluctant to leave Nola and "the golden boy" for very long. :-)

Best to all and "alles gouda",

Yvonne
