For the new people on the list: Charles and Yvonne are heading out to join up with Yvonne's mom, Rosi, and her companion, Jim, on a sailing adventure! We will meet up with them in the Canary islands and sail the 34 foot Contest (the brand of boat) to the Caribbean. We will be providing regular email updates to the people on the list. Hello and Goodbye Everyone!

We take off tomorrow morning from New Orleans, so the next time you here from us, we'll either be at Tenerife or on the big blue ocean! Charles passed his Technician license for ham radio - Yippee! I guess all those years of tinkering with wires, circuits, and solenoids finally came in handy. This means that we will be able to provide daily position updates after we get word of his call sign.

In my absence Joe Siebenaller (zojose@lsu.edu) will be sending out email updates. If you have some burning question, you can email him and he will try to pass along the message, but we'll have to see how things go.

Well, I still have a hundred things to do... do I gotta run!
