"The Voyage Home"

My Mom, Rosi Allen and her companion, Jim Rust sailed from Charleston, South Carolina on 6 May 1999 and crossed to the Mediterranean through the French canal system. In October, they sailed out of the Med to the Canary Islands. Since they did not have anyone to join them for the crossing back, my husband, Charles, (neophyte sailors both) decided to join them and hopefully help out a bit.
We left from New Orleans, Louisiana on 19 Dec 1999 to meet up with Rosi and Jim on Tenerife. Aside from some stress at the New Orleans Airport (we found out the Charles' computer died) the flights went very well.
