How to Enjoy the Group
The John Butler Discussion Group web site is open to all. You can read all the messages here without becoming a Member. We offer three plans for your enjoyment:
- Non-Member
- E-Mail Only Subscription
- Registered Yahoo Group Member
Non-Members Are Welcome
The archives are open to all. If you'd like to share your thoughts, you can e-mail them directly to the Group Owner, JohnButler-owner@yahoogroups.com.
Subscribe to E-Mail Only
If you'd like to receive messages from the Group via e-mail, but do not wish to register with Yahoo (a free, ad-supported service), simply send an e-mail message to JohnButler-subscribe@yahoogroups.com, leaving subject and message body blank. You should receive an immediate (automated) reply from Yahoo, asking you to confirm your request. After you confirm, it may take a day or so for the Group Owner to Approve your subscription (unwanted messages from mass marketers made this approval step necessary).

If you're already registered as a Yahoo user, it will take you less than a minute to sign up for this Discussion Group. Otherwise, you'll have to ...
Register With Yahoo
Registering with Yahoo is a cost-free and relatively painless process. Since Yahoo is a free service supported by advertising, you will be asked for marketing demographic information so that they can determine what sort of advertising to display in "banner" ads when you view the Group's web pages.

Wait For Approval
Sorry about the red tape! A few unscrupulous mass marketers compelled me to require approval before allowing new members to send messages to the group. You probably won't have to wait more than a day or two.
