Banding Birds In New Jersey

Updated Jan/23/1999

Birds, Birding, Banding my Family and Football, that about sums up this page.

I am originally from Scotland but have been in  New Jersey USA for 8 years now.

In the last 3 years I have personally banded around 1800 birds per year. I spent most of the fall migration in the municipal park in Teaneck NJ called........ Overpeck Park,
We caught many birds in this location and over the three years we did get three recoveries. The park is or was best for sparrows and that was the attraction for me in the first place. This spring I started to band in a new site Postville West Milford and we had good numbers of warblers.                                                                                                      .
