This is a management position (Paterson Grade D2) and I was responsible for information systems management and systems development needs of the organisation. Responsibilities included heading the information technology department, development and maintenance of IT strategy, policies and procedures, IT projects implementation and planning, budgeting for IT needs of the organisation (responsible over a budget of over $600000US), negotiating and maintaining contracts and software licenses and, acquisition, disposal and safeguarding IT equipment.

Systems Analyst, Zimbabwe Alloys Limited, Nov 2000 to Aug 2001

This is a supervisory level position (first line manager's position graded Paterson D1) and responsibilities included support, development and maintenance of MIMS business system and Paywell payroll system, gathering management and user information requirements, backup and recovery for business systems and, systems analysis and design of appropriate information systems.

Systems Administrator, Zimbabwe Alloys Limited, Jul 1999 to Oct 2000

In this supervisory level position (graded C6) I was responsible for network administration including security and antiviral controls, maintenance and backup of file and mail servers, supporting users and desktop applications (Ms Office, Windows, PC and software installations) and, development and maintenance of Zimbabwe Alloys Intranet

Oracle DBA, Zimbabwe Alloys Limited, Apr 1997 to Jun 1999.

My first position since college, I was responsible for administration of the SCO-Unix and Oracle, report writing, supporting users and financial systems and planned maintenance systems.
