March 13-16 A SEED-Japan EcoTour '97 goes to Mt. Isarog (first leg)
Haribon Youth joins A SEED-Japan for EcoTour '97. The group goes to Mt. Isarog National Park in Bicol. On its third year, there will be some 20 Japanese youths who would be attending the tour. They will be interviewing the communities around Mt. Isarog and will be briefed with the current situation/problems in the area and other areas like Mt. Isarog.
March 23-27 A SEED-Japan EcoTour '97 revisits San Salvador (second leg)
The tour revisits San Salvador Island in Zambales. Another set of A SEED members will be visiting the area where the first Eco Tour in 1995 was held.
April 22 EARTH DAY 1997
The whole world celebrates Earth Day 1997. Haribon Foundation joins the activities to be announced later.
April 22Haribon Youth holds a vigil for Mother Earth.
In connection with Earth Day 1997, Haribon Youth (composed of the school based chapters of Haribon) will be holding an overnight vigil tentatively to be held at the UP Lagoon starting at 6:00 p.m. Discussions, talks will be given by invited speakers.
April 26Haribon Youth clean-up drive in Mt. Makiling.

HARIBON Celebrates 25th Anniversary Haribon Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary with a series of activities and a Commemorative Night on 28 November 1997 at Balay Kalinaw, UP Diliman, 6:30 in the evening. Attire: Semi-Formal

May 1-4 Haribon-UST Conducts its Leadership Training Seminar
Haribon-UST conducts its annual Leadership Training Seminar with its new set of officers for school year 1997-1998. It will be held in Sal Salvador Island at Masinloc, Zambales.
