Mark Lander is a painter, ceramicist and papermaker. Working with materials from his immediate environment in Canterbury New Zealand. Flax is harvested and handmade into paper on a large scale for installation work in galleries. Natural volcanic clays are ground and formulated as tempera paint or glazes on paperclay ceramic work.
