Dear Supervisor Mendelsohn:  

I am a resident of your district and am in favor of preserving the 24-acre Evans Farm property as a Fairfax County park.  

I support the motion that you plan to make on Monday, December 7, 1998.  As I understand it, the motion consists of two key components: 

* Authorizing issuance of a notice of the intention to create a special tax district in McLean, with three alternative configurations;

* Calling for a public hearing on the proposed tax district, to be conducted January 25, 1999, prior to the Board voting on the creation of the tax district.

Thank you for your foresight and cooperation in this matter.  Me and the other 6,000 citizens who signed petitions finally feel like we are being heard.
