Fairmount Cemetery

While this isn't exactly a public rose garden, Fairmount Cemetery is still a very interesting place for a rosarian to visit.

Fairmount Cemetery was founded in 1890, and is currently approximately 250 developed acres. There are various structures of historical significance, and many many hundreds, if not thousands of OGR's, and some moderns, growing in amongst all the grave sites. Stately trees are also the subject of annual "tree walks" sponsored by Denver Botanic Gardens. Tour classes by the Denver Botanic Gardens study the many classes of OGR's and some species roses to be found there. Located at the intersection of Alameda and Quebec, entrances on both Alameda and Quebec. Jo An Cullen is the Director of Public Affairs for Fairmount, and is quite aware of the significance of the roses at Fairmount and is seeking to preserve and publicize them.
