How to ride a Chocobo Press the [CANCEL] button to get off. Chocobos will escape whenever a player dismounts.
On the grasslands, learn L4 Suicide from Mu. Look for chocobos that appear with two Elfadunks or Levrikons, feed it Sylkis or Mimett greens and use L4 suicide to learn Chocobuckle.
Get through marshes. It's easier to see the Zolom using perspective view of the camera. To do it without Chocobo, try to cross the swamp but save before the Zolom battle begins, reload the save file, then continue crossing. Learn Beta from Midgar Zolom if you're strong enough.
