Tigers are one of the few cats that actually seem to enjoy the water. They are strong swimmers. They will wait for prey at watering holes using their striped fur as camoflauge in the grass. They will sometimes mate in the water escaping the heat of the day and the bother of buzzing insects, as you see in the last picture on the bottom row.
