This is a letter to Michaël by a friend bicyclist that he has met on his journey who was cycling to go plant trees in the northern part of Ontario. Who writes on 6/08/97 just before seperating to go their own ways:

It has been a good experiance traveling with you. That is quite the mission you are talking on. An excellent cause... Yhis could change things on a global level. When things get tough and you dont want to continue on, remember those people that are in worse shape than you(sickness/poverty). I think that you can make it is your dream! Your reward will be scenery, culture, and gaining knowledge that will bring to other levels of life and state of mind. I wish you the best of luck and hope that you will be safe. Have fun and stay in the light. CREATE don't destroy.

				Happy Trails,
				Your Buddy Jason March
P.S. Life is like a winding old dirt road... Never straight and always stoned.

I met what i think is the kindest most giving person i will ever meet. He's going on a big trip around the world trying to help people that he doesn't even know that are in need out of the kindness of his heart. There aren't many people in the world that are willing to give up everything to help others. I'm glad i got the chance to meet such a caring person. It soothes my soul to know that there are at least a few caring people still left. It's nice to know that when he leaves here he will continue to help people that don't have what they need most rather it be food, water or maybe even just a cup of coffee. I know he can't help every needy homeless person in the world. But i know he will help as many as he possibly can. I just hope he's satisfied with the people he does help. One person can make a difference in so many people's lives. And I belive he will make alot of people laugh on his long journey cause he has cracked us up many of times. I wish him the best of luck and hope he comes back to see us.

				Sincerly,
				 Morning Star Amber

I met this very charismatic man. Michaël Champagne who is taking on the task of a bi-hemisphere bike trek to raise awareness of the growing problems of the under privelaged economically as well as nutitionally.

I find what Michaël's doing is beautiful. And this evening, the night of Thanksgiving, I got to share this experience with Michaël. Michaël, Rosie and I gathered up the rest of our Thanksgiving dinner and went down to one of our local trailer parks and gave two families of about 15 people our Thanksgiving dinner. This was the best feeling I ever have felt, knowig that I could bring a smile and feed the tummys of those little children made my Thanksgiving the best Thanksgiving I have ever had.

I wish there were more people like this in the world. When you talk Michaël you can just feel the sincerity that he has for the people in need. And to know that there is somebody out ther that would give the shirt off his back to the man next to him just because it makes him feel good.

I just want to say that we need more kind-hearted unselfish people like this in our world and if the next time you see a person going through the garbage or a family that seems not to have much, please instead of looking the other way you should stop and hold out your hand and show that you want to help. I garuntee it will be one of the best and most fulfilling feelings you will ever have.

Thank you Michaël for the time we had. Hope to see you in the near future.
