Protect Roadless Forests
Please write to the Forest Service and encourage them to adopt the following DEIS options:
- Alternative 4, which bans road building and all logging in
inventoried roadless areas, strengthened to prohibit all
destructive activities in all roadless areas over 1,000 acres
- Alternative D, so roadless qualities are considered immediately
on a project-by-project basis until the next forest plan is
complete
- Protect the wild areas in the Tongass National Forest in Alaska
by including it under these alternatives
