Floyd H. OAKLEY

Graduated high school at 14 years old. Graduated Phillips College at
17. Thenwent to Oklahoma A & M.
Married Mae at 17. Worked at the highway department for support.
Taught school at Helena between Phillips and Okla. A & M. ( Now know as
OSU) Started Oakley engineering in 1946-1947. Worked Grand River Dam
1932. Engineered two Verdigris bridges. They removed a train bridge in
threehours at Riverside drive. (not sure of year). Elected Dist. 2
County Commissioner 1974. Name on pedestrian bridge at Riverparks. Oakley
Plaza downtown Tulsa is named after him.

George Evans OAKLEY

1894 joined Followers of Christ Church
1895 called to preach in Christ Church reference number 1852
My mother told me that that he was in the circus. met wife when she
went to store to buy corset and because George waited on her, shebought
ribbons instead. He was wintering in Hennesy with the circus and working
in store for sister and her husband. He was a con man. They had nine
children, only six of them lived. Advance man for the circus, and sold
tickets two years after circus closed down.
During ddepression he and Ada toured the United States.


Ada Lee KEESUCKER

As per me (vicki Holden) she was still living when i was a child, and she
used to come and stay with us at my grandparents house. I remember her as
being very small as I was myself at the time. She would play with my
sister Micki and myself and was always very kind and i thought very
beautiful.


John Lois HUFF

He was in a cattle drive when he was 12 or 13.
He already had his land but wasin the land run to make it legal.
During depression he worked in a CC camp teaching macanics and
machines
