High Scoring Teams Make It Tough On The Rest

It seems to be an ongoing saga in the DBFFL.  A select group of teams is scoring big and scoring often to make it difficult for the underdog teams to get wins.  For example, take the Tailgators.  The Gators are the DBFFL's highest scoring team to-date with 1149 points.  The following teams are making it tough on the rest of the league:  The High Numbers (1103 pts), The G-Men (1091 pts), The Desert Ice (1035 pts) and of course the Razor's Edge with 1006 points.  Teams like the Wise Asses with 784 points and the Red Dogs with 799 points have found a way to get wins, beat the other low scorers.  However, that policy will only take you as far as the next meeting with one of the high scoring powerhouses.  The teams in the middle, however, aren't always as ready to serve up a win to the higher powers.  Take the G.C. Thunder this past week.  They defeated the Desert Ice by a score of 118 - 113.  Of course the fact that Mark Brunell's numbers have dropped the past few weeks and also with Jimmy Smith riding the pine most of the game with the Titans probably helped the Thunder out a bit no doubt.

In any case, the middle teams like the Thunder and the California Bikers cannot be taken lightly due to some of the players on their respective rosters.  So, beware and best of luck to all of you in the weeks ahead.

While Charlie Garner is the NFL Leader in Rushing Yards, there are others out there who can make it happen also.  Once such player is Edgerrin James.  Edgerrin steam-rolled his way through the Seattle Seahawks Defense this past weekend.  Mr. James ended up with 219 yards rushing and 3 rushing TD's as well for a total of 60 points in the DBFFL.

Here is the leader board for the top 6 rushers in the NFL:
