Ernest Moscati married Ethel Anna Whiting from Norfolk. He had met her while driving in his pony and trap to inspect some of the family bill-posting sites. It was a rainy day and she was waiting for a bus after a day's work as a cashier at Lyons Corner House near the Stock Exchange. He stopped and offered her a lift - and the rest as they say "is history".
This is Ernest as a young man.
They lived in Dalston and when his father became incapable, ran the family business . When Francis died, the business had to be sold . The new owners insisted that none of the family should set up in business within 30 miles of Hackney, so Ernest went to work for Partington's in Canterbury, where they made their home.
Ernest had an eye for real estate and bought plots of land to rent as sites for hoardings. He and Ethel had 5 sons. He was a heavy smoker and had a collection of pipes. He died of bladder cancer in 1938. He had 5 sons:

Ernest Francis Moscati (1902 -1983) married Constance Foster Holmes and after her early death,he married Dorothy Williams with whom he had a daughter Joan (1945-1966). Ernest was a successful grocer.
Alfred Lewis Moscati (1903-1979) worked in the bill-posting business. He was married to Enid Evenden but they had no children so adopted a boy.
Raphael Austen Moscati (1905-1998) married Alice De Cent and had one daughter.He worked as an accountant, and enjoyed hunting and shooting. He always had a black labrador
Leonard Arthur Moscati (1903-1983). He married and had one daughter. He was in the army in the Middle East during WWII and afterwards worked for the Ministry of Works.
Clifford George Moscati (1914-2004) married Jean Clark Vass (1914-1993) He has a daughter, Shane who is married and had 4 children, and now has 5 grandchildren; and a son (1945-2003) who married and had 2 daughters, one of whom has a son.. Cliff worked in industrial roofing, and later mussel farming in Scotland. In his youth he had been a keen sportsman, mainly football, cricket, water polo and swimming.
