Ernest Moscati married Ethel Anna Whiting from Norfolk. He had met her while driving in his pony and trap to inspect some of the family bill-posting sites. It was a rainy day and she was waiting for a bus after a day's work as a cashier at Lyons Corner House near the Stock Exchange. He stopped and offered her a lift - and the rest as they say "is history". This is Ernest as a young man. They lived in Dalston and when his father became incapable, ran the family business . When Francis died, the business had to be sold . The new owners insisted that none of the family should set up in business within 30 miles of Hackney, so Ernest went to work for Partington's in Canterbury, where they made their home. Ernest had an eye for real estate and bought plots of land to rent as sites for hoardings. He and Ethel had 5 sons. He was a heavy smoker and had a collection of pipes. He died of bladder cancer in 1938. He had 5 sons:
