About Myself
My name is Dr. Suman Bhusan Bhattacharyya. I am a medical doctor (MBBS) which I passed in 1986. I have since completed MBA (International Management) from Belgium in 1997 and a 6 months course in UNIX, C and Oracle 8 in 1998. Born in August 1962, my hobbies include computer programming, travelling, history and most sports (watching). I have one simple goal in mind which is to make TELEMEDICINE - the technique to deliver quality healthcare anytime anywhere through the judicious use of IT - a distinct reality. Ever since I did my capstone thesis on this subject, as a part of my MBA and got 100 percent marks for my efforts, I have since then become almost obsessed by it. I firmly believe that it is only through this method can quality healthcare be made universally available, thereby allowing each and everyone of us to feel secure in the knowledge that medical care is only a phone call away - literally. I also do management consultancy focusing on the marketing, turnaround solutions and strategic managment aspects of  healthcare providers. I also take a lot of interest in medical informatics particularly in the areas of electronic patient records that are multimedia enabled and evidence based medicine, apart from telemedicine of course. :-)
